We are offering an internship designed for individuals preparing for medical school (or highly motivated pre-PA, pre-NP or pre-nursing students). Shadowing and rotations are also available on a limited basis. Priority will be given to learners interested in Integrative Medicine and/or Direct Primary Care.

Job Opportunities

Current Openings:
Medical Assistant or Highly-Motivated Admin. Assistant:
Timeframe to start: now-1.5 months
In person vs virtual: open to discussion, possibly hybrid
Pay: $23/hour, ~40 hours a week M-F 8:30-4:15pm. Could be part time at first.
This will be a dynamic position suited for someone who enjoys variety in their workday—from answering prospective patient phone calls, calls from doctor’s offices, prepping documentation, helping with referrals, prepping medical supplies, local business-related activities such as coordinating with the print shop. The ideal candidate is someone who communicates well, advocates effectively for patients within today’s complex healthcare system, and brings a calming, reassuring presence to their care. Phlebotomy skills for adults and children would be ideal.
Future Openings:
Nurse
In person vs virtual: open to discussion, possibly hybrid
Timeframe to start: months to a year, ~40 hours a week M-F 8:30-4:15pm. Could be part time at first.
As our small clinic grows, we anticipate a nursing role becoming available. This will be a dynamic position suited for someone who enjoys variety in their workday. The candidate will likely work close with Dr. Lok and possibly another physician in the future. The ideal candidate is someone who communicates well, advocates effectively for patients within today’s complex healthcare system, and brings a calming, reassuring presence to their care. Phlebotomy skills for adults and children would be ideal. Other procedural skills (nebulizer treatments, ear wax lavage, heel stick test test) would be preferred as well.
Primary Care Physician
Timeframe to start: few months to 1 year
Looking ahead, we may be expanding our team of primary care physicians and possibly providers in the next 1–2 years, with a particular interest in those who take an integrative approach to patient care or have different or more extensive specialized training different from Dr. Lok such as but not limited to OB, pediatrics, geriatrics, IUD placements, Group Medical Visits, Spanish-Speaking, and/or Vasectomy trained.
